What About Belgium?
Belgium is firmly on track to implement a national e-invoicing mandate by January 1, 2026, with an additional obligation to report invoices to a government platform by January 2028. The Belgian government is taking a pragmatic approach by requiring the use of the Peppol standard, allowing buyers and suppliers to opt for other formats by mutual agreement.
