The letter of Bundesministerium der Finanzen (Federal Ministry of Finance) 02.07.2020 brings relief for the gastronomy and the hotel industry. According to this, the restaurateur may use 30% of the flat price for the total price of food and beverages between 1 July 2020 and 30 June 2021. Accommodation companies may charge 15% of the flat rate (previously 20%) for services subject to the standard tax rate and not directly used for accommodation.
