The Philippines launched a Real-Time Reporting (RTR) pilot in July 2022, but it has faced setbacks, including technical difficulties with the Electronic Invoicing/Receipting System (EIS) platform, which has been plagued by bugs, errors, and downtime. On 15 November 2023, the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) paused the pilot until further notice, leaving the future of the program uncertain.
