The Group of Ministers on GST rate rationalisation met and broadly agreed to not make any changes to the existing tax slabs. The issue of reducing GST on health and life insurance premiums is being reviewed. The GoM will make a detailed presentation on rate rationalisation proposals at the GST Council meeting in September.
