France E-Invoicing: The ESSENTIALS of the reform #1 Addressing and Directory

  • Version 2.4 of the PPF external specifications focus on the operation of the PPF in its interaction with public or private entities.
  • The specifications describe the interactions with Dematerialization Operators (DO) and Partner Dematerialization Platforms (PDPs) for invoice exchanges and lifecycle statuses.
  • The PPF Directory contains all the reachable email addresses of VAT payers and public entities.
  • The email addresses for receiving invoices are based on the company’s SIREN number.
  • Companies can define multiple invoice receipt email addresses based on their needs, but it is recommended to have a limited number of addresses.
  • The SIREN_SUFFIXE format is suitable for private companies, while the SIREN_SIRET and SIREN_SIRET_CODE_ROUTAGE formats are more suitable for public entities.
  • The PDPs/PPFs update the PPF Directory with the email addresses and other information.
  • The directory is public and accessible to all companies through their PDP/PPF.
  • The directory allows companies to find up-to-date invoice receiving addresses of their recipients and facilitates the transmission of invoices.
  • The directory also supports interoperability between PDPs/PPFs and ensures the portability of electronic addresses.
