- The “IKT Konsolidierungsgesetz §5” mandates that all federal government contracting partners, including foreign ones, must submit structured electronic invoices for goods and services.
- In Austria, the transposition of Directive 2014/55/EU is contained in BVergG 2018 §368, with the final deadline for compliance being April 18, 2020.
- e-Rechnung.gv.at is used for delivering eInvoices to the Austrian Public Sector and other recipients, utilizing ebInterface and Peppol-UBL formats.
- The platform now supports only XLM invoicing format ebInterface versions 4.3, 5, and 6. Peppol eDelivery Network is used for sending eInvoices outside of Austria.
- Paper and email/PDF invoices are no longer accepted by federal authorities, except for the cash payment system, as per the 2012 ICT Consolidation Act (IKTKonG).
