- Croatian public procurement entities have been required to receive and process e-Invoices since December 1, 2018, while suppliers to public administrations must issue e-Invoices since July 1, 2019.
- The Fiscalization Project 2.0 aims to modernize the tax system in Croatia by introducing a new system for e-Invoicing, e-archiving, and online bookkeeping.
- Croatia has applied for a derogation from the European Commission to make e-Invoicing mandatory across the country. Mandatory B2B e-Invoicing is expected to begin on January 1, 2026, with domestic transactions requiring buyer consent, while cross-border transactions will still use paper invoices. Currently, B2B e-Invoicing is voluntary through the national platform eRačun.
