The Romanian government has issued a decree to amend Order No. 802/2022 in order to strengthen fiscal monitoring and regulatory compliance in the transportation sector. The decree focuses on monitoring goods in transit through the RO e-Transport System and includes a wide range of goods and services, such as perishable commodities, clothing, iron and steel, and tobacco products. This directive demonstrates the government’s commitment to mitigating fiscal risks associated with transportation activities and will come into effect on July 1, 2024.
