Unofficial translation

Modernizing Tax Administration: Introducing QR Codes and Simplified Tax Returns for Enhanced Efficiency
The measure responds to the call from taxpayers for the financial administration to become a modern organization and provide services that other institutions have long been using (such as including QR codes in output documents of the Financial Administration). The aim of the measure is to reduce errors in tax, fee, or fine payments on the taxpayer’s side. At the same time, this measure will speed up the work of taxpayers, ultimately resulting in positive feedback from them. The first output documents with QR codes are planned to be sent to taxpayers in late May and June 2024. The measure also includes pre-filled tax returns for individuals receiving income from dependent activities and the abolition of the employer’s obligation to perform annual settlement of tax on dependent activities.
