Vietnam made electronic invoicing mandatory for all businesses in July 2022, following the approval of decree 119 in 2018. The decree aims to advance digitalization and combat tax fraud, with a two-year compliance deadline for companies. E-invoices must be in XML format, have a digital signature, and be securely archived for 10 years. Electronic invoicing at point of sale is allowed for certain businesses. EDICOM is certified by the Vietnamese tax authorities and can assist with e-invoicing.
