The Egyptian Tax Authority issued a release on 27 December 2023 announcing that all taxpayers required to register for VAT must also register all their branches for VAT. Further, it is required that VAT registration certificates must be prominently displayed at the head office and all branches. Failing to register all branches will result in penalties for tax evasion.
