- Starting from December 15, 2023, it is mandatory to report international road transport of goods via the RO e-Transport system, regardless of the type of goods.
- The obligation to declare the data rests with the recipient or sender listed in the customs declaration for import or export, the beneficiary for intra-community purchases, the supplier for intra-community deliveries, and the depositary for goods involved in intra-community transit transactions.
- Failure to comply results in fines and confiscation of undeclared goods. Transport operators must equip vehicles with satellite positioning and data transmission technology, and drivers must activate the positioning device before transport and deactivate it after delivery or leaving the national territory.
- Sanctions for non-compliance come into force on July 1, 2024.
