- From 2028, marketplaces and e-commerce platforms will have more responsibility for the products they distribute in the EU.
- They will be official importers and will handle customs obligations, pay duties and taxes, and ensure product compliance with standards.
- Duty-free treatment for parcels under €150 will be abolished, but low-value goods will be grouped into four categories for easier procedures.
