- Italy: The earlier communicated VAT rate increase is postponed to 2017. The 10% rate will increase to 13% and the standard VAT rate is planned to rise to 24% in 2017 and an additional 1% in 2018, which means a standard VAT rate of 25% as from 01.01.2018. In addition the statute of limitations could be extended to 7 years in certain situations as from 01.01.2017. Update about the standard VAT rate in Italy
