A new draft bill regarding the chargeability of VAT in Belgium is recently approved by the Belgium Cabinet. It is expected that these new simplified rules will be applicable as from 1 January 2016.
The current rules for chargeability of VAT introduced in 2013, the transitional regimes and the “definitive rules” of 2015, have proven to be too complex in practice.
