Earlier this month, there was hearing before the CJEU in a case concerning the VAT treatment of real estate management funds. The ultimate judgment of the CJEU in this case also could be relevant for other investment funds, for example, because the European Commission considers that the exemption for the management of special investment funds must be broadly interpreted.
