Are you renovating a house?
Since 1 January 2022, the contractor must state a new motivation on the invoice to justify the application of the reduced VAT rate for certain activities. Owners therefore no longer have to worry about the VAT certificate and contractors can immediately invoice at 6%.
To give contractors enough time to adjust their billing, the VAT certificate can still be used, but will be completely abolished on July 1, 2022 .
