The registration of entities that will want to sell in the Tax Free system after January 1, 2022 is underway. Next year, documents will be handled only in electronic form. The Ministry of Finance reminds about the obligation to register and points out that 350 entrepreneurs have registered with Tax Free so far.
VAT refund for travelers is a possibility to obtain a refund of VAT paid when purchasing goods in Poland by a traveler who has no permanent place of residence in the EU. The refund may be made for a traveler who:
- bought goods in Poland worth over PLN 200,
- received a receipt from the cash register and a Tax Free document ,
- exported the goods intact outside the EU and obtained confirmation of this fact by an officer of the Customs and Tax Service.
Currently, paper circulation of documents is in force, and the export of goods outside Poland / EU is confirmed with the POLAND – CŁO stamp. From January 1, 2022, all sellers are in the VAT refund system for travellers. will be required to issue Tax Free documents in electronic form.
