- Current IOSS Reporting: Currently, IOSS monthly reports provide a global figure of imports exempted under IOSS per VAT identification number without a breakdown per Member State of consumption, limiting the ability of Member States to conduct precise audits.
- Enhanced Reporting Framework: The ViDA package will amend reporting requirements to ensure IOSS monthly reports include data per Member State of consumption, enabling more precise audits. This will be achieved by utilizing existing data from import declarations and the customs Surveillance system.
- Implementation Timeline: The enhanced static monthly reports per Member State of consumption are expected by the end of Q2 2025, with dynamic reports available by the end of 2025. This enhancement is crucial for improving VAT compliance and combating fraud.
