- The European standard for eInvoicing is mandatory for all contracting authorities in Bulgaria, with XML being the most commonly used syntax for eInvoice exchanges.
- The National Revenue Agency (NRA) is considering the introduction of mandatory eInvoicing and is currently consulting with industry stakeholders to draft a proposal, alongside ongoing projects to implement Standard Audit File for Tax (SAF-T) for enhanced digital reporting requirements.
