In 2024, the National Revenue Administration detected over 291 thousand fictitious VAT invoices, the highest number since 2018, the Ministry of Finance reported. The largest number was issued by representatives of the textile industry, mainly by entities related to the trade in goods of Asian origin. The Ministry of Finance wants to include the transport of such goods in the obligation to report them to the SENT system, similarly to ready-mix concrete.
