Ghana Rolls Out the Second Phase of Its Electronic VAT Invoicing System

  • Ghana has initiated the second phase of its Electronic VAT Invoicing System, incorporating an additional 2,000 VAT-registered businesses, who will now be required to issue electronic VAT invoices.
  • The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) will expand the system to include these taxpayers, enabling real-time tracking of VAT transactions.
  • Similar to the first phase, the GRA is conducting seminars to guide the newly registered businesses through the onboarding process, facilitating a smooth transition to e-invoicing.
