The Ministry of Finance has introduced new digital accounting requirements for companies with revenues over EUR 50 million and tax capital groups, effective from January 1, 2025. The requirements include additional data in accounting records, which must be kept digitally and submitted to the tax office in a specific electronic format. The implementation is phased, with identifying tags required in 2025 and more detailed information such as contractor identification numbers and invoice details required from 2026. Other companies will follow these rules in 2026 and 2027. The Ministry has simplified some obligations, such as excluding banks and telecom companies from providing certain data, and assets recorded before 2025 are exempt from the new data requirements, except for their removal date.
