Chicago, Illinois, Long Beach, Fremont, and Oakland, California are tied for third-highest at 10.25 percent. Baton Rouge, Louisiana has the highest local sales tax rate at 5.50 percent, while St. Louis, Missouri and Colorado Springs have the second and third-highest local rates.
