- The Spanish Authorities have submitted a draft Order to the EU Commission outlining technical, functional, and content specifications for computer and electronic systems and software supporting invoicing processes.
- The draft also covers the standardization of invoicing record formats, including the use of SIF (Sistemas Informaticos de Facturación) and the Verifactu system.
- The objective is to specify technical and functional specifications for information submission to the Tax Administration, characteristics of computer systems, event records, invoicing record formats, electronic signatures, and QR code generation.
- The EU Commission and Member States can issue comments until 4 October 2024, which the Spanish Authorities will consider before approving a final version of the Order.
