- The Ministry of Public Administration is responsible for policy making, while the Public Payments Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (PPA), attached to the Ministry of Finance, is responsible for the implementation and maintenance.
- The Provision of Payment Services to Budget Users Act makes eInvoicing mandatory for central, regional, and local authorities for receiving and processing, as well as for suppliers of public bodies for submitting.
- The eInvoicing system used is the PPA eInvoicing system, and the standard used includes e-SLOG, UBL 2.1, and UN/CEFACT CII D16B.
- The transposition of the Directive 2014/55/EU is in effect, and the use of CIUS and Extensions is not mandatory.
- The majority of eInvoices in Slovenia are exchanged via eInvoicing network service providers such as the BizBox network provided by ZZI and Bankart Banks Network.
