- The eVAT system of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) now allows for self-checks of returns submitted through the new return option on the web interface or via machine-to-machine connection.
- NAV has reached the second milestone of fine-tuning the VAT system launched on 1 January 2024, enabling self-audit and correction of returns.
- The system is accessible through both web interface and machine-to-machine connection, with the latter recommended for enterprises dealing with a higher number of documents and complex tax decisions.
- Farmers using machine-to-machine connections also receive discounts for timely self-test submissions.
- The new features also impact the content of the VAT web interface and the XML schema for machine-to-machine submissions, with NAV providing information to IT developers on the eVAT GitHub interface.
