The National Bank of Ukraine has lowered the key policy rate to 13.0% annually from 14 June 2024, previously reduced from 14.5% to 13.5% from 26 April 2024. This reduction also affects the late payment penalty interest, which is tied to the National Bank rate. The penalty interest rate, which is 120% of the National Bank rate, has decreased from 16.2% to 15.6% annually.
