- B2G e-invoicing in Romania is mandatory since July 1, 2022, via the RO-eFactura platform in XML format (UBL 2.1 or CII syntax).
- B2B e-invoicing is mandatory since July 1, 2024, also via RO-eFactura, with e-reporting being mandatory.
- B2C e-invoicing will be mandatory from January 1, 2025, with some exceptions until July 1, 2025. Invoices must be archived for 10 years.
