- Australia is undergoing a digital transformation in invoicing processes through the adoption of e-invoicing, particularly using the Peppol network.
- The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has been promoting the use of the Peppol network for both B2G and B2B transactions, with plans to transition to the Peppol INTernational (PINT) A-NZ format by 2025.
- The ATO encourages businesses to prepare for the transition by adopting certified Peppol Access Points, understanding the technical requirements, and ensuring compliance with the new invoicing standards. The Business E-Invoicing Right (BER) initiative is also being developed to further drive e-invoicing adoption.
