The US faces challenges in implementing mandatory electronic invoicing due to the lack of a centralized platform, with over 250 providers and 15 formats across all states. The Digital Business Networks Alliance (DBNAlliance), formed by the BPC and Federal Reserve, aims to improve the e-invoicing environment by introducing an exchange framework. This network allows businesses to exchange e-invoices regardless of their underlying technology. The DBNAlliance ensures adherence to US policies and regulations for B2B e-invoice transmission and uses the OASIS UBL format for electronic invoicing.
