The Saudi General Authority of Zakat and Tax set the deadline for filing April’s monthly VAT returns on May 31 for businesses with annual supplies over 40 million Saudi riyals (US$10.6 million). Taxpayers can file online or through the ZATCA smartphone app, and late returns will result in a penalty of 5-25% of the unpaid tax.
