- The obligation to issue invoices through the National e-Invoicing System (KSeF) will be implemented on 1 February 2026 for companies with a turnover exceeding PLN 200 million in the previous year, and on 1 April 2026 for others.
- Janina Fornalik, a partner and tax advisor at MDDP, understands the decision to postpone the obligation but highlights the significant costs already incurred by large companies in implementing the changes. She suggests that if the KSeF is being built from scratch, it should be adapted to the European standards introduced in the VAT in Digital Age (ViDA) package to avoid future system changes.
- The Ministry of Finance should consider these changes to minimize disruptions for businesses and align with the anticipated EU requirement for electronic invoices in intra-Community transactions by 2030. Failure to account for these changes may result in additional system modifications in the future.
