The Polish Ministry of Finance has confirmed the early 2026 launch of mandatory KSeF e-invoicing:
- 1 Feb 2026: large taxpayers (over PLN 200 million per annum); and
- 1 Apr 2026: other taxpayers
The mandatory National e-Invoicing System, initially planned to be implemented on 1 July 2024, has been postponed to 2026 due to the need for a new system architecture. The Ministry of Finance has released a draft of regulations for the system, which includes the option for businesses to issue consumer invoices through the system on a voluntary basis. The draft also proposes self-identification of buyers by providing their tax identification number (NIP) during purchase. This will allow buyers to access e-invoices using a QR code and enable sellers to distinguish between consumer and business transactions.
