The Latvian Ministry of Finance has proposed a plan to combat the shadow economy by implementing mandatory e-invoicing for all B2B transactions by December 30, 2025. This will streamline the invoicing process, introduce a technical solution for e-invoice circulation, and enhance monitoring and compliance of VAT payment obligations. Further details are expected to be released in the coming months.
