Chinese businesses traditionally used a physical fapiao tax receipt system, but there has been a push to digitalize the invoicing system. Starting from November 2023, all Chinese provinces (except Tibet) have implemented their own electronic fapiao systems. This new system aims to replace paper fapiaos and streamline the process of obtaining fapiaos. The introduction of digitalized tax e-fapiaos marks a significant change for Chinese businesses.
