The European Parliament proposes to implement the measures set out in the proposal for a directive on VAT in the Digital Age (VAT) ViDA) by one year. This gives companies time to prepare properly. It also proposes some changes to the obligations of online platforms, in particular those operating in the area of short-term accommodation. This is stated in the opinion adopted by Parliament on 22 November 2023.
