Moldova approved various tax amendments that will generally apply from 1 January 2024. The amendments are provided by Law No. 212 of 20 July 2023 and include:
- Per January 1, 2024, a reduction in the VAT rate for accommodation and restaurant services to 8% (a temporary reduction to 6% for COVID applies until 2 October 2023)
- VAT rate for passenger cars will be increased to the standard 20% rate from 1 January 2026
