In connection with the implementation of the BBO collection system at the border, which came into effect on August 1st, the Tax Department has made some adjustments to the BBO, BAVP, and BAZV declarations in accordance with the changes in the law. The new BBO declaration for the month of August 2023 is available on the “BO impuesto” (BOi) portal starting from September 4, 2023. The deadline for submitting this declaration is September 15, 2023.
To assist merchants as much as possible with the completion of the BBO declaration and answering questions, the Tax Department has activated the “BBO Border Helpdesk.” Merchants can call 522 7438 between 8 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon or send an email to [email protected].
In the coming days, the Tax Department will also publish an instructional video to visually guide merchants on how to fill out the new BBO declaration.
