- A new eInvoicing Hub has been launched in Newcastle, Australia, in collaboration with the Australian Taxation Office and local business groups.
- The aim is to promote the benefits of eInvoicing, which is a standardised way to send and receive invoices via a secure network using existing small business accounting software and apps.
- This can lead to faster payments, improved cash flow and reduced risk of invoice fraud.
- Over 33,000 businesses in Australia are registered for eInvoicing, including major companies such as Bunnings, Woolworths and BOC Gas, and over 400,000 eInvoices have been delivered on the network.
- The government is encouraging businesses in the Hunter region of New South Wales to make use of the initiative and find out more about eInvoicing.
