eInvoicing Country Factsheets for each Member State & other countries
- The Netherlands implemented eInvoicing for all public authorities in compliance with Directive 2014/55/EU by adopting the Peppol framework.
- The Dutch government is now the Peppol Authority in the country, with support from the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and Logius.
- The Peppol and Stakeholder communities have been created to advise the Peppol Authority on potential amendments.
- In 2023, e-orders via Peppol will be introduced for the Central Government Procurement sector.
- All government organisations are obliged to receive and process eInvoicing, which can be submitted via the Peppol network, the Central Government eInvoicing portal, or Digipoort.
- No electronic signature is required, and invoices must be archived for 7 years (10 years for invoices related to Immovable Property).
- The eInvoicing Directive was transposed into law through the National Procurement Act, and sub-central authorities were not given an extended deadline.
