Booking.com charge commission on “price per room per night including taxes” & client questions if this is legal. The basis of their argument is that if they weren’t VAT registered Booking.com would get a lower commission, they are getting higher commissions purely due to the VAT registration which, despite the contract signed up to, the client argues isn’t fair & takes a further chunk out of their margins.
