Knowledge group position: time-barred VAT refund cannot be set off against tax debt of the bankrupt

The Collection & Civil Law Knowledge Group has published a position in response to a question about settling a statute-barred material turnover tax refund against the outstanding bankruptcy debt of a bankrupt. The answer is that it is not possible to offset the expired (material) refund against the tax debt.
