- eInvoicing is the most widely used electronic document in the world. It involves issuing, sending, and receiving invoices in a structured electronic form.
- The European Union estimates that full adoption of eInvoicing will save 423 billion euros and reduce costs associated with the preparation, issuing and sending of invoices.
- The introduction of eInvoicing increases the speed of receipt and processing, minimizes the possibility of human error, ensures faster payment and a high degree of automation of the invoice exchange process.
- The EU plans to introduce mandatory use of eInvoicing for B2B transactions. Croatia is preparing for this through the Fiscalization 2.0 project.
- Approximately 40% of Croatian businesses currently use eInvoicing, with larger companies leading the way.
