New law moves responsibility for the management of Louisiana’s uniform electronic local sales and use tax return and remittance system from the Louisiana Department Revenue to the Louisiana Uniform Local Sales Tax Board, requiring it to ultimately design, implement, and maintain a single remittance system so that taxpayers may remit state and local sales and use taxes through a single transaction.
