On April 1, 2023, regulations came into force under which some buyers will be obliged to apply the reverse charge mechanism for the purchase of gas, electricity and greenhouse gas emission allowances. New regulations in the VAT Act in this respect were introduced by the Act of March 9, 2023 amending the Act on enforcement proceedings in administration and certain other acts [hereinafter: the amending act].
