ECJ will rule on VAT on local government subsidies in March

Already on March 30, 2023, the announcement of the judgments of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is planned, which may resolve long-term disputes between the local government sector and tax authorities regarding the VAT burden on investment subsidies. These are case C-612/21 concerning the installation of renewable energy systems on residents’ property and case C-616/21 concerning the removal of asbestos from residents’ property.
