- In a recent ruling, the High Court of Kenya dismissed consolidated petitions challenging the imposition of Value Added Tax (VAT) on exported services.
- Without further action, such services will be subject to the standard VAT rate of 16%. Services that are considered Business Processing Outsourcing will remain exempt from VAT.
