Changes to Spanish VAT rates for food & feminine hygiene products

As of January 1, 2023

• Zero-rating of foodstuffs in the country. Reduced VAT rate of 5% will now apply to pasta and oil.
• New VAT rate applicable to sanitary products is decreased from 10% to 4% in Spain
