Following up on the event that Ecommerce Europe and EuroCommerce organised on 1 June 2022, this is the second episode of our hybrid Single VAT Registration Roundtables to be held on 25 January 2023 in Brussels, starting at 16h CET.
The event will consist of a keynote presentation by Patrice Pillet, Head of Unit at DG TAXUD, on the VAT in the Digital Age project plus a 1h panel discussion between Agnes Fekete, Team Leader under Patrice Pillet, a fiscal attaché, and two business representatives.
The event will focus on the VAT in the Digital Age proposal with a focus on the VAT One Stop Shop 2.0 concept, to provide insights into whether and how the proposed rules could help businesses, consumers & governments, and share ideas regarding the implementation of the proposal and the opportunities & challenges along the road to the rules going live.
We will cover:
- The broader context of the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age initiative, including the next steps and its adoption into law
- The multifaceted benefits of a single EU VAT registration as proposed
- The challenges for businesses and governments in implementing the proposal, and how they can be addressed
